We are able to use Gini Scott's meeting area again. The location will be provided to those who RSVP "yes" or "maybe" for this meeting.

When and Where:
Monday, March 3, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Private. Location given after RSVP, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Everyone is encouraged to bring some food to share with 5-6 other people, nothing elaborate, and there are no on-site cooking facilities, so simple snacks would probably suffice. Gini will be supplying the beverages.

We'll meet @7:30 pm. and begin the meeting @8:00 pm.

In addition, anyone wishing to have pages read, preferably the first ten, please contact me via the website. We can handle up to three ten-page reads. I do encourage anyone wanting material read to take advantage of other group members beforehand. Allow someone to give you feedback, if possible, so that the version you bring to the group will be the best possible one for the reading.

Lastly, I want to use part of the meeting to discuss interesting story lines anyone may have and see if we can craft a good Log Line from it. Hopefully a well-crafted Log Line will inspire the individual who's interested in the subject matter to begin note taking that will eventually lead to a potential script.

Again, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email with any questions or concerns.

    •  Hey guys, I had a great time meeting everyone. I have a few suggestions for the next mtg based on what works in other groups I've belonged to: 1. Email pages to those who rsvp yes if possible 2. Have everyone give a brief intro about their background and current project @ 7:30-45 3. Then start the mtg promptly at 8:00 or earlier 4. Everyone takes turns giving his/her feedback to the writer and not comment too much on others' feedback 5. Always start feedback on a positive note, find what works before making suggestions for improvement 6. Let the writer have the final say and move on to the next script Just suggestions to maximize the mtg for everyone's benefit. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next mtg. Best, Richard
    •  I think we accomplished a great deal in two hours. The feedback was pretty thorough - everyone took it on the chin quite a bit...and that's good. Better scripts to follow -
