- My name is Sharon. I love to write and looking to get into screenwriting. This group would be a great way to start. I had my first book of short stories published back in 2003, and I would love to turn some of the stories into screenplays.

“ I enjoyed meeting the people on Saturday. It was nice to know that the ones who came had different writing experiences. The thing I would suggest is to not make assumptions of peoples' experiences. Even though I am new to screenwriting, even when I said I was a published author, I was talked to like I didn't understand writing at all. I understand writing but was just trying to understand the difference of jumping from novel writing to screenwriting, since the format is different. The dialogue is the same in novel writing as it is in screenwriting. That was another assumption that was misunderstood, too. ”
