Meet others interested in partnering monetarily as well as creatively to make films. If you are an Actor, Writer, Filmmaker, or other, and have a project - or are interested in working on a project - that may cost more than you have on your own, sign up, come out, pitch your project and listen to some other pitches. Projects may range from 1K to 100K, but all people pitching must be willing to put some of their own money in their project, and be open to other people's projects and ideas. Unfortunately, the reality is that films cost money. Unless you're famous or your last film won Sundance the only person who is going to hand you a wad of cash is a family member. Every film by unknown filmmakers/actors I've seen at festivals is self-financed. So you can spend the next five or ten years chasing your tail, or you can put your money were your mouth is and actually make a film. YOUR CHOICE - in a few years from now you can read about films at festivals that are getting attention, or you can have one of your own!
